GMS FCCLA Shops for Veterans' Wives

The FCCLA members used their communication skills to talk to the veterans’ wives when delivering the gifts to their room. Mrs. Welsh, Mrs. Blatter, Mrs. Mazik and Mrs. Wallenfelsz accompanied the members as they delivered the gift bags full of presents. The veterans’ wives were very surprised by the visit and appreciated the gifts. They told the FCCLA members stories about their husbands and their service in the different branches of the U.S. Armed Services.

One of the Sterling House residents was excited about fashion and the clothing worn by the FCCLA members. This lead to a lively discussion! Also one of the residents asked the members where they attended school and talked about her career as a middle school nurse in Indiana.

The veterans’ wives and FCCLA members enjoyed meeting each other and sharing the spirit of the holidays.
